My dream

Did I told you that I am full Japanese? Maybe you could know that from taking a look at my profile.

I am proud about being a Japanese. There are many traditional cultures and customs that are peculiar in Japan, and I really love all of them. I am so happy to be born as one of the people who have such a wonderful way of life.

On the first several years from the time I came to the Saipan, I really had a hard time to communicate with other people. I was really worried if I would be able to learn and understand the English without forgetting the Japanese. But there was nothing to worry about. I learned lots of English vocabularies, and my Japanese skill also improved.

Since when I was younger than now, I wanted to have a job that can use my skills as a bilingual person. First, I wanted to be an interpreter. I wanted to help people who are having the hard time communicating to the people with the foreign languages.

But for now, I have a dream to be a translator of the books.

I like to read the Harry Potter series. I've already read most of them by Japanese, and some in English. But the estimation of the Japanese version is not that good because of the translation. The translator is already mid-aged, so the words by the characters are kind of old-styled and sounds little weird. But in the first place, she is not really a translator in fact; her essential job is a interpreter. So I think it is nice if I re-translate the book and let many more Japanese people to be more interested and have more fun in reading the stories.

I want to let the people who speak Japanese to read the wonderful English stories, and I also want the people who speak English to read the interesting Japanese stories. I want to be a bridge that crosses over the people with different languages.

I am actually doing the translation of the book right now. It is Japanese book that is written by my favorite novelist, named Eto Mori. She had written many books for the teenagers to read in many genre. I am planning to let somebody read it when I'm done with my translation.

I will do my best to make my dream come true.

The worst situation ever

I really wonder how did the people from prehistoric time survived without powers and gas.

Saipan now has the serious problems on powers and gas. And because of that, the state of economy is getting worse and worse. Many workplaces can’t pay the salaries to the employees, and we are one of the families which are having the problem on our cost of living.

I came to Saipan from Japan about seven years ago. By that time, the cost of the gasoline was less than $2. It is about the half of what they cost now. Our car is needed to be fueled so frequently now; frequently that we need to fuel the car twice everyday.

The cost of the power is ridiculously high too. It costs for about $200 for a month, but seven years ago, it was about $70. It is less than half the price now. By those costs for both gas and power, it is like we are just burning the money into ashes. We can't use the money to get whatever we want, because we use all of the money on the gas and power before we spend them for the other things. I wanted to go visit my grandparents in Japan this summer, but that became impossible. Even buying the food supplies for us to live is becoming harder.

The first problem that I want to be solved is about the power. I(or probably most of the people in the world) am a kind of person who can't live without the computers. We are using the Internet for doing our school works. And obviously, this blog is also posted by using the Internet too. If the cost of power will keep on going higher and higher, I, or ALL OF US will have very hard time to live as we are right now. I don't know what kind of job the Commonwealth Utility Corporation (or CUC) is doing.

Why should we have hard time for just going through our everyday life? I think it is stupid to spend too much money for necessaries. But how can we stop that?

It is our biggest and worst problem now.

Some things you have to think about as a high school student

It is a season of graduation. I will almost be a high school sophomore student, but I still don't realize about it. I really feel that this school year passed really fast as one flash of light. The time is so rapid indeed.

By the way, what grade are you in now? If you are graduating the middle school (junior high), you must think about your high school life seriously and prepare for it. The things you learn at high school is lot more difficult than the ones we learn in middle school.

I think that the high school is a place to prepare for your college life. What kind of job you want to have when you grow up? Teacher? Doctor? If you haven't decided, you need to think about it while you are in the high school, so you can find out about the college you need to go to make your dream come true. You also need to study hard. The reason why is because the college you can go may be limited because of your grade. If you want to go to the good college and have the job that you really wish for, you need to study really hard.

Did I let you think that high school is really severe place without any fun? You don't need worry about it. There are many activities on high school that you can enjoy. In my high school, I am attending the band class, and it is really fun! There are many other classes or clubs that satisfies you, such as art class/club and ceramics class/club. When you feel tired after lots of studies and homework and other things, do what you want to do to relax. Having a good rest is also very important.

world population

You must know that the U.S. is one of the most populated countries in the world. But how populated is it? Are there any countries that are more populated than U.S.?

It is well known that the China is the most populated country in the world. But the fact is from the second populated country. Surprisingly, the second most populated country is India, and it is even more populated than United States. The third most populated is the United States, but the difference between the population of India and U.S. is more than 750 million. The area of the India is lot more smaller than the U.S., so the population density of the India must be tremendous.

There are some relationships between the population size and the environmental change. As we can expect, there are limits on the natural resources on the Earth. And those resources are consumed or wasted by us, the people. So obviously, as the world population grow up, the natural resources will be consumed a lot more than now.

So as in conclusion, we must not waste the resources and energies that we don't need; we must use the minimum amount.
